Seminar on Social Exclusion and Inclusion

The Seminar on Social Exclusion and Inclusion examines group relations, inequalities, and cultural frames within and between European societies as well as the social construction of a broader European community. It regularly sponsors research presentations by European and American social scientists working on questions of social integration and cohesion, social hierarchies, and conflicts. Recent seminar topics included immigrant integration policies, the French banlieues, convergence in social welfare policies, social resilience, and racialization in Europe.
