The Center’s Visiting Scholars & Fellows Program offers opportunities for post-doctoral social scientists pursuing innovative research on Europe to leverage the resources of Harvard and the CES community to advance their scholarship. Visiting Scholars take part in a weekly New Research on Europe Seminar that allows them to present work in progress and receive feedback from colleagues.

CES has a longstanding commitment to supporting students through grants for research, travel and internships. CES oversees the Secondary Field in European History, Politics, and Societies (EHPS) which allows Harvard undergraduates to obtain a guided and recognized interdisciplinary course of study focused on Europe. The Center supports workshops and funding for Ph.D. dissertation research, and our faculty take an active role in mentoring doctoral students
