On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Italy, by the Resistance and the Allies, in this year’s Salvemini lecture Professor Portelli will discuss the complex relationship many partisans had with the inevitable use of violence in the liberation war. A reception will follow the lecture from 7-8 p.m. in the CES Atrium.
