Please join us for this presentation by Professor José Antonio Piqueras of the Universitat Jaume I (Castellón de la Plana), a distinguished Spanish historian who has published widely in the history of Spain and its overseas empire. His talk comes from his current research on the conflicts over race and citizenship in the era of the Spanish American Revolutions and the Cortes of Cadiz in the early nineteenth century.
Professor Piqueras' presentation will be in English. Q&A will be in Spanish and English with translation.
