Over the last three decades, Alternative Dispute Resolution, or ADR, has developed into a widely accepted field of study and practice. It is the process of seeking resolution to problems outside of court. It can be used across many fields, by those in the legal profession, of course, but also by social workers, mediators, and HR professionals: i.e. anyone in conflict management.
The Interdisciplinary Handbook of Dispute Resolution, edited by legal expert Dr. Paola Cecchi-Dimeglio, is a comprehensive collection of essays on the topic, and serves as the quintessential ADR manual of our time.
