Sahar Bazzaz is Associate Professor in the Department of History at the College of the Holy Cross. She is the author of Forgotten Saints: History, Power and Politics in the Making of Modern Morocco (HUP, 2010) and co-editor of Imperial Geographies in Byzantine and Ottoman Space (HUP, 2013). Her work focuses on Middle Eastern, Northern African, Islamic and Imperial Encounters.
