By memory trap, I am referring back to the practical problem of how to deal with historical issues when they emerge in international relations, which either to view it as a purely symbolic issue, or to view it as an unreasoning force. I would talk about the theoretical and methodological parts of my book, and then use examples drawn from Asia, Europe and some speculations about how the issue emerges in the context of Eastern Europe (where I count on you to help me out!) and the Middle East (Turkey-Armenia, Israel-Palestine)
