In order to equip the next generation for a thriving future and to prosper economy, it is necessary to consider education beyond schools and involve new actors. The K-12 and postsecondary school system in the U.S. have their limits in preparing young people for work life. Thus, the aim of the present study is to close this gap using an interchanging approach between the United States and Germany & Switzerland. The latter have a tradition of involving the business sector in education resulting in record low youth unemployment rates and healthy economy.
