This session will address questions such as the scope, the purpose, and the structure of the senior thesis. It will focus on strategies for developing a good topic (finding a manageable and interesting question and case selection) as well as finding an advisor. It will also look into research resources available at Harvard (navigating Hollis, e-resources, reference works, document collections) and will include an introduction by a Harvard librarian.

About

Join us for the series of workshops designed to help juniors with the process of formulating a thesis topic, tackling research questions, and elaborating grant proposals for summer thesis research. In vibrant sessions led by CES graduate affiliates, students develop a set of skills instrumental for writing a successful senior thesis.

Hannah B. Callaway and Michael Tworek will lead the Senior Thesis Workshops in the 2017-2018 academic year.
