The aim of this research project is to understand the role of changing employee remuneration systems as instrument for ethical culture change in the aftermath of the financial crisis. In particular, the goal is to determine how the specific structure of the remuneration system, ongoing adjustments to the remuneration system and the objectives that the company is pursuing are perceived by the employees and to what extent they may be seen as being consistent with the actual corporate objectives and with external parties’ requests for ethical behavior.
