In this talk, Chantal Mouffe will examine the reasons for the rise of populist parties in Europe both in their right-wing and left-wing versions. She will argue that this 'populist moment' is the expression of resistances to the post-democratic condition which is the consequence of the hegemony of neo-liberalism.
