Talk based on a forthcoming book that will (i) analyze the sources of Poland’s unprecedented economic success in the last 25 years, (ii) share lessons learned and policy insights from this successful experience for other emerging markets, and (iii) offer policy recommendations to help Poland catch up with the West for the first time in its history. It will also (iv) discuss how Poland’s rise might affect the functioning of the European Union and—by extension—the world’s economy.
