15th Edition of the Boston Turkish Film Festival (BTFF) will start on Thursday, March 17th, at 6:30 p.m. at MFA, Boston with the screening of the film "Ivy" (Sarmasik) by Tolga Karacelik , which made its world premiere at Sundance. Director Tolga Celik will be present at the screening. A Q&A with the director and a reception follows the screening.

Director Çağan Irmak receives the 2016 Boston Turkish Film Festival Excellence in Turkish Cinema Award, which is in its 10th year, at a ceremony following the screening of his latest film, A Unique Life (Nadide Hayat), in recognition of his contributions to Turkish Cinema.

More than 14 filmmakers and actors will travel to this year’s BTFF from Turkey and Europe, with most of their films making their North America and US premieres. There will be 16 feature films in the festival program.
