"Heritages" a film by Lebanese director Philippe Aractingi, documents the displacement of several generations of his family throughout the last century. We are delighted to screen this film, which for us represents the shared history of the many Boston communities originating from the Eastern Mediterranean and the Levant. The story of the Aractingi family is one that resonates with Greeks, Armenians, Lebanese, Jews, Palestinians, Syrians and others who were forced to leave their homes as the old world of cosmopolitan societies in which they coexisted and prospered with all their diversity crumbled.

There is a catered reception between 5:30-7:15, to which all are welcome at their leisure. The film screening will begin at 7:30.

All relevant info and ticketing (donation-based) can be found at www.heritages.eventbrite.com as well as on our Facebook and Twitter. Further questions can be directed to 617-627-6560 or nadim.shehadi@tufts.edu and julia.livick@tufts.edu.
