Dr. Thomas Bagger is Head of Policy Planning at the German Federal Foreign Office. From 2009 until July 2011, he served as Head of the Foreign Minister’s Office in Berlin. His previous postings abroad were Washington (2006-2009), Ankara/Turkey (2002-2006) and Prague (1996-1998). Before he joined the German Diplomatic Service in 1992, he worked as a research associate at the Institute of International Affairs (SWP) in Ebenhausen, Germany. Thomas Bagger, born 1965, holds an MA in Government and Politics from UMCP and a doctorate from Ludwig- Maximilian-University in Munich.

The Dr. Henry A. Kissinger Transatlantic Speaker Series was made possible by a generous grant from the Robert Bosch Foundation. This speaker series will bring fifteen high level German speakers to the United States in 2014 to speak at the ACG Eric M. Warburg Chapters across the country on important issues pertaining to the German-American and transatlantic partnerships.
