Yevhenii Monastyrskyi

Yevhenii Monastyrskyi is a Ph.D. student in History, specializing in the history of the Soviet Union. In particular, Monastyrskyi focuses on the history of Soviet migration regimes, intergenerational history of the Soviet internationalist networks, and intellectual history of the political migrants. His academic interests include the history of Soviet internationalist institutions and their influence on European and North American left-wing movements, as well as the history of Eastern Ukraine.

Since 2015, Monastyrskyi has embarked on numerous qualitative studies concerning the experiences and lives of Internally Displaced Persons in Ukraine, conducting over twenty research projects in collaboration with international and domestic organizations.

Monastyrskyi also holds the position of Lecturer at the Kyiv School of Economics and Lead Researcher at the War Childhood Museum in Ukraine.
