Sima Biondi is a Ph.D. candidate in government at Harvard University. She studies comparative political economy and political development, with a particular focus on colonialism and historical state-building in Europe and the Middle East. Before starting graduate school, she earned a B.A. in political science and a minor in mathematical and computational sciences at Stanford University.
