Mikko Silliman is a Ph.D. student in education policy and program evaluation at Harvard. His research interests center around issues in education policy and labor economics, particularly as they have to do with inequality. Prior to starting his doctoral studies he conducted research at the VATT Institute for Economic Research, and was a policy research trainee at the Centre for Education Research and Innovation (CERI) at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). He holds a MSSc in social & public policy from the University of Helsinki, a B.A. in economics and in philosophy, summa cum laude, from Tufts University, and was a visiting student at the University of Oxford.
