Biography

Lou Lennad

Lou Lennad is a Ph.D. candidate in Public Policy on the Science, Technology, and Policy Studies track at Harvard Kennedy School. Her research explores the contemporary ways in which the European Union articulates epistemic and democratic registers of legitimation when producing governance. Lennad's dissertation will investigate ethnographically the institutional and discursive constructions of EU ‘evidence-based policy’.

Lennad holds an M.Sc. in Science and Technology Studies from University College London and three bachelor’s degrees in Political Science, Genetics, and Law. Outside of academia, she worked with the OECD on implementing the 2019 Recommendation on Responsible Innovation in Neurotechnology and producing a general framework for the governance of emerging technologies.
