Jelena Nikolic

Jelena Nikolic is assistant professor of economics at Wentworth Institute of Technology. Prior to joining Wentworth Institute of Technology, Nikolic was a visiting research fellow at the London School of Economics European Institute and an assistant teaching professor at Northeastern University. She joined the IZA World of Labor, the leading international network of labor economists launched by the IZA Institute of Labor Economics, with her research on wage policies in the public sector during wholesale privatization in Central and Eastern European economies. Nikolic also worked as an assistant professor of economics at the University of Belgrade in Serbia. In her research, she is examining the impact of public sector size on local European labor markets and differences in wage-employment settings between public and private sectors. Nikolic received her Ph.D. in economics from the University of Nottingham.
