Itziar Muñoa

Muñoa is a Policy Adviser for the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) in the European Parliament in charge of the Foreign Affairs Committee, the Subcommittee on Human Rights, and the Democracy and Electoral observation missions group. Her regional focus is as follows: Euro Mediterranean countries and the Euro Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, Mashreq and Arab Peninsula Countries, Latin America and the Euro Latin-American Parliamentary Assembly. Her responsibilities consist of drafting ALDE position papers, plenary resolutions, tabling of amendments to reports, recommendations and opinions. Muñoa participated in several European Parliament delegations such as to Israel/Palestine, Iran, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Morocco and Western Sahara, Panama, Colombia, Mexico, Guatemala, Argentina, Chili, Ethiopia and UN. She has also been part of several Electoral observation missions to Ecuador in 2008 and 2009, Guatemala in 2011, Paraguay in 2013, Nigeria in 2014 and Haiti in 2015.
