The consequences of political crime for democratic representation and electoral polarization
Fabio Ellger is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Transformations of Democracy Unit at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. In 2022, Ellger obtained his Ph.D. in comparative political behavior from Humboldt University of Berlin. His work focuses on comparative politics and political behavior.
During his time at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES), he will utilize quantitative analyses, experiments or design-based inference to investigate questions connected to representation, participation, and polarization in today’s democracies. Specifically, his work will focus on the consequences of crime and violence for democratic governance.
