Benjamin Waldman

Benjamin Waldman is a Ph.D. student in Government at Harvard University. His research concerns American political development, focusing on the growth of the administrative state over the long nineteenth century. He uses archival methods and network analysis to place state-building experiments in transnational perspective, exploring how the rise of bureaucratic power was informed by connections among American and European reformers.
