Benjamin Waldman

Benjamin Waldman is a Ph.D. student in government at Harvard University. Waldman's research concerns American political development, focusing on the growth of the administrative state over the long 19th century. He uses archival methods and network analysis to place state-building experiments in transnational perspective, exploring how the rise of bureaucratic power was informed by connections among American and European reformers.

Waldman graduated from Yale University with a B.A. in political science and mathematics and an MSt. from the University of Cambridge with in American history.
