Week is a fifth-year doctoral candidate in the government department at Harvard. Her research interests include identity, political representation, and party politics. Her dissertation, “Real Change or `Window Dressing’? The Effect of Gender Quota Laws on Policy Outcomes”, looks at the impact of national gender quota laws on policy outcomes in advanced democracies. She has done fieldwork in Belgium, Austria, Portugal, and Italy. She graduated from Dartmouth College in 2006 with a B.A. in government, and from the London School of Economics in 2007 with an MsC in comparative politics.
