Biography

Konstantin Vössing

Vössing is assistant professor of political science at Humboldt University Berlin. He received his PhD from the Ohio State University in 2008. He has conducted research about strategic decision-making of political mobilizers in the labor movements of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. During his stay at CES for the academic year 2013–2014 as a John F. Kennedy Memorial Fellow, he will pursue a research project about the formation of public opinion toward European integration. Combining experimental and comparative historical methods, this research analyzes the influence that political elites exercise on citizen views through political rhetoric and partisan interaction.
