Sebastian Botzem

Sebastain Botzem is a research fellow in the unit “Modes of Economic Governance” at the Social Science Research Center Berlin (WZB). Botzem has studied political science and received his PhD in business administration from the Freie Universitӓt Berlin in 2008. His research interests include transnational standardization, cross-border governance, and the regulation of financial markets. He is currently working on a project on transformative change in the global exchange industry. During the visit he seeks to investigate the relationship of private and public actors in regulating transatlantic securities trading, focusing on the global harmonizing securities trading and the role of clearing houses in Europe and the US. Botzem will be at CES as a WZB Fellow from February through May 2014.
