Obradovic-Wochnik is a lecturer in politics and international relations at Aston University, Birmingham, UK. She has previously taught at the University of Helsinki, and has held a visiting fellowship at the European Union Institute for Security Studies, Paris. Obradovic-Wochnik is currently working on issues relating to transitional justice in Serbia, such as different ways of understanding, representing, and speaking about violent past and war crimes. Her book, Ethnic Conflict and War Crimes in the Balkans: Narratives of Denial in Post-Conflict Serbia will be published in fall 2012. While in residence (October–December 2012) she will work on a paper which considers different local tensions in the transitional justice and reconciliation processes in Serbia, between a number of actors with a stake in the process.
