Featherstone is professor of contemporary Greek studies and European politics, head of the European Institute, and director of the Hellenic Observatory at the London School of Economics. He is a member of the National Council for Research and Technology, Greece, and a former member of ad hoc advisory committee to the Greek Prime Minister. His research interests include the politics of the European Union and especially of the EMU, as well as the economic crisis and reform capacity in Greece. He is currently working on a project titled, “The Emperor has No Clothes!: The Greek Core Executive and the Problem of Reform Capacity.” This is a long-term research project leading to a monograph (with D. Papadimitriou).
