Tomasso Piffer is a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at the Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies at Harvard and at the University of Milan (Italy). He obtained his PhD in contemporary history in 2009 from the University of Bologna and published several books on the history of the Italian resistance movement during WWII. He also edited a book in memory of Victor Zaslavsky on totalitarian societies and democratic transition Società totalitarie e transizione alla democrazia (with V. Zubok, 2011). He is currently working on a project on the relationship between the Allies and the European Resistance during World War II.
