Sofia Perez is associate professor of political science at Boston University where she teaches courses in comparative politics, European politics, and comparative political economy. Her work centers on the politics of economic regulation across policy areas, including the regulation of labor markets, financial systems, macroeconomic policy, and social policy. Her current research focuses on the politics of immigration policy in the European Union and its relationship to other aspects of economic regulation, including the characteristics of European welfare states and labor markets.
