Isolda Mac Liam is a doctoral candidate at the University of Sussex, where she works on Heidegger's critique of Hegelian history with Tanja Staehler, Robb Dunphy, and Tarik Kochi, and presently a visiting researcher at the University of Toronto with Rebecca Comay. She previously received an MFA from the Center for Modern European Philosophy, Kingston University, London for a dissertation on the psychoanalytical underpinnings of Adorno's concept of utopia and its consequences for his critique of epistemology, completed under the supervision of Peter Osborne. She equally holds a BFA in Art History and MFA in Film from HFBK University of Fine Arts Hamburg.
