Biography

Heleen Touquet

Heleen Touquet is a researcher and lecturer at the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Leuven, Belgium. She wrote her Ph.D. about post-ethnic mobilization in Bosnia-Herzegovina and has published extensively in journals such as East European Politics, Europe-Asia Studies, Nationalism and Ethnic Politics and others. In her current research project, she explores the links between sexual violence and post-conflict reconciliation from a gender angle, focusing in particular on masculinities, vulnerability male survivors of sexual violence in the Balkans.
