Filip Ćwik is an acclaimed Warsaw-based photographer and co-founder of NAPO Images and the NAPO Foundation. In 2011, he won a World Press Photo award for his series “National Mourning in Poland” in the category of Contemporary News. Ćwik’s work has been published in publications around the world, including Le Monde, Das Magazine, International Herald Tribune, Newsweek, L’Espresso, Days Japan, The Guardian, and The Times. From 2001 to 2013, he was a regular contributor to Newsweek Poland. Ćwik runs his own portrait studio in the Saska Kępa in Warsaw. He has taught photojournalism at the Institute of Journalism at the University of Warsaw.
