Andreas Sentker

Biography

Andreas Sentker is head of the science department of the German weekly newspaper Die Zeit and editor of the bimonthly science magazine Zeit Wissen. In 2008 he edited the six-part book series “Zeit Wissen Edition.” Sentker is writing about international conflicts in the field of science policy such as the different regulations of stem cell research in Asian countries, Europe and the United States, and the debate about genetically modified plants or the different national strategies for dealing with nuclear waste or climate change. Sentker is currently preparing a series of reports about the possibility of global solutions in these fields, comparing especially the European and North American perspectives. He will be in residence at CES from September through December 2009.
