Carina Sprungk

Biography

Sprungk is visiting assistant professor in the department of government at Harvard University. She is on leave from the University of Osnabrück where she holds a position as assistant professor of European politics. Sprungk completed her Ph.D. with distinction at the Free University Berlin, Germany in 2007, having written her thesis on the role of national parliaments in the European Union. She previously held positions as assistant professor at the Free University Berlin and as visiting professor at the University of Victoria, Canada. Her research interests include European Union politics, compliance legislative politics and environmental policy. She is currently preparing a project on the role of the EU in the transformation of national legislative politics.
