Biography

Culpepper is associate professor of public policy at the Harvard Kennedy School. His research focuses on comparative business-government relations, processes of institutional change, and the quality of national democracy in the European Union. His forthcoming book, The Quiet Politics of Corporate Control, examines the political power resources involved in battles over the regulation of hostile takeovers in several European countries and Japan since 1990. He is the author of Creating Cooperation (2003) and co-editor of Changing France (2006) and The German Skills Machine (1999). His work has appeared inter alia in International Organization, World Politics, Comparative Political Studies, Revue française de science politique, Politische vierteljahresschrift, West European Politics, Journal of European Public Policy, Journal of Public Policy, and the Oxford Review of Economic Policy.
