Christiane Reinecke

Christiane Reinecke is a postdoctoral researcher at Humboldt University in Berlin, specializing in European social history and the history of the social sciences. She has recently published a number of articles on the history of immigration control in the International Review of Social History, Traverse and Geschichte und Gesellschaft, and she is also preparing a book on that topic. Reinecke received her PhD from Humboldt-University in July 2008. She is currently working on a project on German and US twentieth-century poverty debates, investigating the changing perceptions of social inequality from the interwar period onwards. She will be in residence at CES from February through June 2010.
