Jasminka Sohinger

Economist

Biography

Sohinger is professor of economics, University of Zagreb, where she teaches both graduate and undergraduate level microeconomics. As a Fulbright scholar, she taught at the University of California at Berkeley in the economics department, the Institute for International and Areas Studies, and the Extension School, and spent two years there at the Institute for European Studies. Sohinger has published articles on various aspects of economic reforms in Central and Eastern Europe, including those on trade and financial liberalization. Her current research interests are focused on globalization and growth in emerging European economies. Sohinger will be in residence at CES in Fall 2008.
