Mira Siegelberg

Graduate Student in History

Biography

Siegelberg is a fifth-year graduate student focusing on the history of international legal and political thought, especially the origins of contemporary debates on humanitarianism and international ethics. Her dissertation reconstructs the effects of statelessness on postwar political thought and international relations theory, and examines the tradition of liberal internationalism among a generation of international lawyers from the interwar era through the period of decolonization. Siegleberg spent the past year conducting archival research in Europe supported by a CES fellowship and was a graduate fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics in 2011–2012.
