Francesca Bignami is professor at the George Washington University Law School. Her research focuses on rights and democracy in the European Union and comparative public law. She is the author of numerous articles on comparative privacy law, comparative administrative law, and rights and accountability in global governance. She is currently working on a book-length study on comparative administrative law and on a casebook on European Union law. Prior to joining the George Washington faculty she was professor of law and director of the Center for European Studies at Duke University. She has also taught at Harvard Law School and the European University Institute (Academy of European Law).
