Andrea Filippetti holds a PhD in economics at the La Spaienza University in Rome. He is a research fellow at the Italian National Research Council and a visiting researcher at Birkbeck College, University of London. His research is concerned with innovation and technical change studies, the globalization of intellectual property right, and the role of institutions. He has received a Schuman-Fulbright award to join CES in order to carry out a study of the effect of the crisis by comparing the US labor market and European labor market models. He has just published together with Daniele Archibugi the book Innovation and Economic Crisis, Routledge. He will be in residence at CES from September through December, 2011.
