Grachova received master's degrees from Central European University (Budapest) in history, and from National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy in cultural studies. She also received a Diploma of Specialist in history from Kiev Taras Shevchenko National University. Her dissertation is entitled, "The Politics of Jewish Life: Medicine and Russian Jews (1881–1930)."
