Biography

Oana Dan

Dan is a graduate of Middlebury College and an Ashford fellow. Her research interests center on political sociology, especially public opinion and the formation of transnational civil societies through regionalization. Her work focuses on the European Union and the emergence of a European public. In previous work, Dan used survey results to explore the determinants and variations of the sense of EU citizenship among Europeans. For her dissertation, she will expand on this theme, with a longitudinal analysis of trends in public opinion in the EU in connection to national and European elite discourse.
