The Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES) believes strongly that a vital part of the training of future Europeanists is the ability to conduct fieldwork in the region. Thanks to an endowment originally provided by the Krupp Foundation, the Center is able to provide a year of support for dissertation research to a number of doctoral students interested in conducting research abroad, as well as a small number of completion fellowships to doctoral students who are in the final year of writing their dissertations. The Center offers the following grants to graduate students:

- Dissertation Completion Fellowships
- Konrad Adenauer Fellowships - for Graduate Students
