Lewis was one of 175 fellows the Foundation selected this year in the United States and Canada. Lewis received her fellowship for her work in the European & Latin American History category. Earlier this year, Lewis was awarded a Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellowship for her current research on "The First Decolonization: A New History of Nineteenth-Century Empire."
