The German-Speaking Society and Euro Club at Harvard Business School (HBS) are excited to present a panel discussion with leading European investors about venture capital and entrepreneurship in Europe. While Europe has been slow to develop tech unicorns, the continent has reached a tipping point in the last few years: there are now 132 European unicorns, up from only one in 2012. Many have argued that Europe is at the beginning of a virtuous cycle set in motion by the first generation of European success stories like Delivery Hero, Klarna, Spotify, and Zalando. This panel will feature HV Capital and Cherry, both European-born VC firms, as well as Accel which was among the first US VCs to set up a European office in 2000.
Speakers will introduce their firms and recruiting opportunities for HBS students to join their investment teams or portfolio companies followed by a panel discussion about the changing landscape and current market environment for VC and entrepreneurship in Europe. There will be time for Q&A from the audience. To register for this event, visit here.
