The Harvard European Law Association (HELA) is the only organization at Harvard Law School that focuses on legal, economic, social, and political matters involving Europe, the European Union (EU), and neighboring regions. Every year, HELA organizes a spring conference where renowned experts gather to discuss topics in European Union law and policy.

This year, the conference is set to take place on March 28, 2020, with an umbrella theme of Post-Brexit: Europe's Future Engagement with the World. Panels will discuss financial regulation; migration after Brexit; trade and foreign relations; and AI and the GDPR. Panellists will include ambassadors, professors, EU policymakers and legal practitioners.

Sir Nicholas Forwood, a former Judge at the European General Court, will deliver a keynote speech. Dr. Michael Weiss, legal advisor to the President of the European Parliament will deliver an afternoon address. Breakfast, lunch, and a drinks reception will all be provided.

There is no charge for attending the conference and more details will be posted at HELA.
