This workshop will showcase the research undertaken in the research cluster on Global Populism / Challenges to Democracy while also engaging prominent academics from other institutions, who work on various dimensions of populism. Reflecting the breadth of research interests and expertise represented in the 2018-19 cohort of cluster fellows, the workshop touches on a broad array of issues pertaining to populism, from its international dimension to its interrelationship with socioeconomic change to its emergence as a feature of social polarization.
