Biography

Michael Koß

Michael Koß is Professor of the Political System of the Federal Republic of Germany and the EU at Leuphana University Lüneburg. His research focuses on political parties, parliaments, and democracy in a comparative perspective. This spring, he will serve as Resident Faculty at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES) at Harvard University. During his tenure, he will teach a course entitled "What is Europe?"

Koß studied political science, history, and public law at the universities in Göttingen, Besançon, and Uppsala. He received his Ph.D. at the Faculty of Social Sciences at University of Göttingen.
