Linda Haapajärvi, is a Visiting Fellow at the CES from École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris and a Fulbright laureate from Finland. She is researching the processes of immigrant incorporation and inhabitation in disadvantaged urban neighbourhoods of Paris and Helsinki. Combining statistical analysis and ethnography she analyzes the ideologies, practices and relations of local "bureaucrats", migrant residents and native neighbours. At Harvard, she will be analyzing her empirical materials and work on different publication, and will be here from September 2012 until July 2013.
